”România noului val” – unul dintre cele mai provocatoare proiecte editoriale colaborative

Unul dintre cele mai provocatoare proiecte editoriale colaborative, intitulat “România noului val”, va fi lansat curând sub egida revistei Foreign Policy.

Potrivit www.noulval.ro, volumul “România noului val” reunește în premieră viziunile despre viitor a 77 de tineri de succes, antreprenori, lideri emergenți din Generația Y (cu vârste sub 40 de ani).

Cartea este împărțită în patru capitole: “Industriile creative. Revoluție cu puterea imaginației”, “Lideri emergenți și leadership românesc în secolul XXI”, “Noua economie a cunoașterii. Aplicația OpenVote.ro a fost acceptată în programul Google Ad Grants

Aplicația OpenVote a fost acceptată în programul Google Ad Grants dedicat organizațiilor non-profit și, începand de astăzi, primește un grant de 10.000 $ pe lună pentru promovare în rețeaua Google AdWords™.

Designul aplicației OpenVote a fost realizat de Theodor Marcu și Ștefan Gergely, doi tineri care isi propun sa aduca transparența și tehnologiile digitale în procesul electoral din Romania.

“În ziua alegerilor, posesorii aplicaţiei vor avea la dispoziţie o hartă cu toate zonele din Bucureşti, din Romania și din diaspora unde au fost semnalate nereguli. Momentan, aplicaţia a pimit un feedback pozitiv la lansarea oficială de la Romanian US Alumni Association” a declarat Theodor Marcu, designerul aplicației OpenVote. OpenVote – Tehnologii disruptive în sprijinul democrației

Institutul de Politici Publice și Centrul de Resurse pentru Societatea Civilă au lansat vineri aplicația openvote.ro prin care cetățenii pot raporta și trimite fotografii cu neregulile care se pot întâmpla în jurul secțiilor de vot în ziua scrutinului, relatează Agerpres. Designul aplicației a fost realizat de doi tineri de 17 ani, Theodor Marcu și Ștefan Gergely.

“Lucrul pe care noi îl încercăm este să rezolvăm problemele care apar în societate folosind tehnologia. În cadrul acestor alegeri vrem să lansăm o platformă numită OpenVote.ro, promisiunea acestei aplicații este că orice cetățean al României poate deveni observator electoral și poate folosi tehnologia pentru a crea un mediu mai transparent. Platforma este compusă din aplicația mobilă și în spatele acesteia este un portal geospațial care presupune faptul că orice fotografie făcută prin aplicație are imprimate automat coordonate geospațiale”, a declarat reprezentantul Centrului de Resurse pentru Societatea Civilă, Bogdan Gavrilă, într-o conferință de presă. 7 teme fundamentale pentru Romania” coordinated by Dan Dungaciu, Vasile Iuga and Marius Stoian, with a foreword written by Amb. George Cristian Maior.

The book is an open collaborative project, written with postmodern originality, that brings together 59 authors and contemporary leaders, covering several areas of Romanian society. The initiative for publishing this book belongs to “Club Romania“, a reflection group based in Bucharest. American Club Bucharest – Social Media and the Millennial Generation

“Social Media and the Millennial Generation” was the first workshop delivered by Bogdan Gavrila (CRSC Europe) at the American Corner Bucharest as part of the future American Club. We had a special guest, US Ambadssador Patricia Moller, and a great coversation with some outstanding future leaders.

The event was a great opportunity to explore the future of social media, digital diplomacy, MOOCs, Open Data and Open Government for young citizens.

Daniel Goleman in Bucharest: Ecological Intelligence and Leadership – What We Buy Can Change Everything

Daniel Goleman is an internationally known psychologist who lectures frequently to professional groups, business audiences, and on college campuses. As a science journalist Goleman reported on the brain and behavioral sciences for The New York Times for many years. His 1995 book, Emotional Intelligence was on The New York Times bestseller list for a year-and-a-half, with more than 5,000,000 copies in print worldwide in 40 languages, and has been a best seller in many countries. Apart from his books on emotional intelligence, Goleman has written books on  topics including self-deception, creativity, transparency, meditation, social and emotional learning, ecoliteracy and the ecological crisis.

The Harvard Business Review called emotional intelligence— which discounts IQ as the sole measure of one’s abilities — “a revolutionary, paradigm-shattering idea” and chose his article “What Makes a Leader” as one of ten “must-read” articles from its pages. Emotional Intelligence was named one of the 25 “Most Influential Business Management Books” by TIME Magazine. The Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and Accenture Insititute for Strategic Change have listed Goleman among the most influential business thinkers. Thierry de Montbrial comes to Bucharest to launch his book, „Jurnal Românesc”

Thierry de Montbrial, one of the great personalities of the European intellectual community, a well known specialist in the field of economic and political science, will give a lecture during his visit to Romania (May 9-11) on the occasion of the official launch of his book „Jurnal Românesc”.

One of the artisans of the concepts which have built and modeled the world in the last decades, Thierry de Montbrial is the founder and president of The French Institute of International Relations (IFRI). The institute has as aim elaborating studies and analyses on present international problems and facilitating the exchange of ideas between political decision makers, researchers and other leaders on both national and international level. Considered as an “idea factory”, IFRI is acknowledged as one of the most influential think–tanks worldwide.
